Laser power of the three areas (overburned area, defect-free area, hanging slag area)
1. Overburned area: when the laser power is too large, resulting in excessive heat input, so that the melting range of the workpiece is greater than the range of high-pressure airflow can drive away, the molten metal is not blown away by the airflow and produce overburning.
2. Defect-free zone: that is, the laser power is in the right range, this time the cutting effect is good, called the defect-free zone.
3. Hanging slag area: when the laser power is too small, insufficient heat, the closer the lower edge of the molten product temperature is lower, and the greater the viscosity, and thus failed to be blown away by the high-pressure airflow and stays in the lower edge of the cutting surface to produce hanging slag. In severe cases can not be cut to form a kerf.
Laser cutting machine cutting quality judging criteria
Cutting thickness of more than 2mm plate laser cutting, the distribution of the roughness of the cutting surface is not uniform, varying widely along the thickness direction, and its changing conditions have two characteristics.
1, the shape of the cutting surface is divided into two very different parts. The upper part of the surface is flat and smooth, the cutting stripe is neat and fine, and the roughness value is small; the lower part of the cutting stripe is disordered, the surface is uneven, and the roughness value is large. The upper part has the characteristics of direct action of laser beam, while the lower part has the characteristics of molten metal scouring.
Whether continuous laser cutting, or pulsed laser cutting, cutting surface shows that there are two parts of the upper and lower, the difference is pulsed laser cutting and the upper part of the cutting stripes and pulse frequency has a corresponding relationship: the higher the frequency, the finer the stripes, the smaller the value of surface roughness.
2, the surface roughness in the upper area of the cutting surface is largely uniform, does not change with height; while the lower area of the surface roughness changes with height, the closer to the lower edge, the greater the value of surface roughness diligence.
