But why exactly do we keep calling it the future?

It boils down to one simple fact: these machines achieve levels of speed and accuracy that traditional metal cutting methods simply can’ match. That’s their standout advantage—and the key reason they’re seen as the industry’s next big thing.  We’ve all seen the laser swords used by Jedi Knights in Star Wars before, and they’re a type of laser. Simply press the “on” button, and a laser beam is unleashed. This laser is indestructible! It’s incredibly sharp and can cut through any material, including metal! Our lasers work the same way. First, a high-energy laser beam is focused onto a small area, roughly 0.1mm across. This area becomes extremely hot, vaporizing the metal. What does this mean? It means fewer processing steps and significantly reduced cutting time. Research shows that compared to traditional methods, metal laser cutting can reduce the time required to cut the same material and thickness by up to 50%.

To give an unrelated example, comparing the time required to cut a material using a laser cutting machine to traditional methods, such as mechanical machining, is like comparing a sports car to a bicycle. For example, if we need to cut a 10mm thick steel plate, approximately 20cm long, traditional methods would only take a few minutes. What about laser cutting machines? It only takes seconds. Laser processing efficiency is 100 times that of traditional methods!
